Ok, I will be honest...

This mix is really just a teaser to keep my friend's and fans occupied until the REAL Spring promo comes out shortly before WMC.. I have to keep it under wraps as some people are already coming out with their own.. patiently wait and pick out the finest tracks, mashups, and reworks and set it off right !

In the meantime, this mix does nothing short of jam! A few friends have been asking for an energetic house mix to put on while doing cardio exercizes and on the way to/from clubs. This type of mix is that which focuses more on vocals, a nice blend of electro-tribal goodies and 'out-there' tracks to keep it fresh and keep people singing to the tracks. Power up your amps, load your subwoofers, and set this on high, sit back, and enjoy !

One man's trash is another man's treasure, just like one man's noise is another man's music

This mix incorporates the funky sounds that some call dance, some call trance, some call techno, but I call music! Fusing a healthy amount of glitchy tracks and mashups along with techy drums and vocals throughout, makes this mix one for the cd books. Starting with the soothing vocal's from Way Out West, with appearances from First State, Marco V, Cliff Coenraad, and a healthy breakdown featuring tracks from hard-hitting producer/dj Sander Van Doorn. Like a good workout, this mix follows a certain format to optimize your listening experience. Following in a format much like the WMC mix I dropped here earlier this year, the first track begins on a very soothing, melodic approach. As the rest of the mix flows through, the transition from soothing to floorfilling occurs, with the help of tracks from Ralph Falcon, Avicii, Masi & Mello, Exacta, and Florida producers Dj Deibys and Lemoch.

Eyekon - Summer 2009 Promo Mix V2.0

This past June was definitely a rollercoaster for the world. From the death of star Farrah Fawcet and Mr. OxiClean himself Fred Vanore, to the King of Pop - Michael Jackson. Did I happen to mention my birthday was in June?

I know what you are probably thinking..how the hell do I follow up anything positive after all of that, even when my birthday doesn't liven things up a bit? Thats where the mix comes in, of course.

This mix is again on the vocal end of things, bringing a fresh look to some certified tracks you cannot help but dance to. From the likes of Christian Falero and Mario Ochoa to newcomers Andy Kemp and Rob Bello of FloorFiller Records, who last showed up in my tracklists in the Spring, with his remix of Tears for Fears- Shout. The final track takes a different approach than my other mix, with a track by Marc Mysterio remixed into a true tribal electric bomb!

The Lucid Dream was conjured up more as an idea of an advanture through music. The idea of a Lucid Dream is actually quite fascinating, being able to control ones actions and perception during the dream states of sleep. I personally have more than one type of dream nightly, which is why this mix shows more than one style of house music, keeping it all wound up together with some nice vocals throughout from the likes of Faithless, Nightcrawlers, Soft Cell, and Chris Kaeser. Expect a blend of minimal, tribal, and vocal house tracks complementing each other all the way through. Definitely one to sit and enjoy, as well as dance to!
